Academic Document Translation Services

Florida Translate provides certified translations for academic documents such as transcripts, diplomas, degrees, report cards, enrollment records, and other foreign educational records. These translations are commonly required for university admissions, credential evaluations, transfer applications, licensing, and other academic purposes.

Many international applicants need both certified English translations of their academic documents and a credential evaluation from a company such as WES or Josef Silny & Associates. Evaluation agencies generally require complete English translations before they can review foreign credentials and determine U.S. equivalency.

Our certified academic translations include a signed certification statement confirming the accuracy and completeness of the translation. If your school, licensing board, or evaluation agency requires it, we also offer notarized translations and apostille services as optional add-ons. Some institutions may also request additional translated documents, such as a birth certificate, as part of the admissions or enrollment process. Certified translations are standard with all orders, while notarization is offered as an add-on.

How Translations Fit Into Credential Evaluation

Most Florida universities require both certified translations and a credential evaluation report for international applicants. Here is how the process works.

1

Get Certified Translations

Your academic documents (transcripts, diplomas, certificates) are translated by a certified professional translator with a signed certification statement.

2

Submit to Evaluation Agency

Send your original documents along with certified English translations to a NACES-member evaluation agency like WES, ECE, or Josef Silny.

3

University Receives Report

The evaluation agency issues a report determining U.S. equivalency of your international credentials. Universities use this report for admissions decisions.
