Yes. Florida was one of the first states to authorize Remote Online Notarization (RON) under Florida Statutes Chapter 117. Our notarizations are performed by Florida-commissioned notaries through the approved BlueNotary platform and are legally recognized in all 50 U.S. states.

Remote Online Notarization costs $25 per document, plus a one-time $5 identity verification fee per session. Each separate document requires its own notarization. Additional signers in the same session are $20 each (includes their ID verification). The document can be in any language, but the notarial statement must be in English.

Yes, signers can be located anywhere in the world. You need a valid government-issued ID (U.S. state ID, driver's license, or passport from any country), a stable internet connection, and a device with camera and microphone. This makes Remote Online Notarization practical for expatriates, military personnel overseas, and international business transactions.

We can notarize most private documents: affidavits, powers of attorney, travel consent forms, translations, corporate documents, and declarations. We cannot remotely notarize government-issued public documents (birth/marriage certificates, court records, public school transcripts) — these are already state-certified. If you need a public document apostilled, submit it directly without notarizing it first.

You'll need the document ready to sign, a valid government-issued photo ID (either a U.S. state ID or driver's license, or a valid passport from any country), a stable internet connection, and a device with a camera and microphone. Before the session begins, you will complete a secure identity verification using biometric verification. Once verified, you will connect with the notary to sign the document. The entire session usually takes 10–15 minutes.

You need one of the following: a valid U.S. driver's license or state ID, a U.S. passport, a U.S. military ID, or a valid passport from any country. Foreign passports are accepted even without a U.S. immigration stamp. The ID must be current (not expired) and the photo must clearly match your appearance. During the identity verification process, you will be asked to capture or upload images of your ID. For driver's licenses or state IDs, this typically includes both the front and back. For passports, you will use the identification page with your photo and details. You will also complete a live photo capture to confirm your identity.

Identity verification is completed through the BlueNotary platform using secure identity verification technology. This typically includes biometric facial recognition, where your live image is matched to your government-issued ID. Florida law also permits knowledge-based authentication (KBA) as an alternative method, which involves answering questions based on U.S. credit and public records (past addresses, loan amounts, or vehicle registrations). KBA generally has a higher failure rate, especially if you're not a U.S. citizen, have limited credit history, recently immigrated, or have errors in your public records. A failed attempt typically triggers a 24-hour waiting period before you can try again. We default to biometric verification because it is faster and more accessible, especially for international signers.

Yes. Each additional signer is $20, which includes their own biometric identity verification. All signers must join the same video session with their own valid government-issued photo ID. Each signer will complete identity verification individually.

Some documents, such as powers of attorney, may require witnesses during the signing process. If witnesses are required for a Florida RON session, they must attend the session, appear on video, present a valid government-issued ID for identity verification, and if appearing remotely, be U.S. residents physically located in the United States or a U.S. territory at the time of witnessing. If you do not have witnesses available, we offer a witness add-on service for $25 per witness. If you choose this option, we'll coordinate the scheduling to ensure that the two witnesses are available and present for your session time.

It depends on the type of document and where it will be used. Powers of attorney intended for use in Florida require two witnesses in addition to notarization. If your POA will be used in another state or another country, witness requirements may depend on the receiving jurisdiction and the law governing the document. When in doubt, we recommend confirming with the requesting authority or attorney and using witnesses when possible. If you do not have witnesses available, we offer a witness add-on service for $25 per witness. If you choose this option, we'll coordinate the scheduling to ensure that the two witnesses are available and present for your session time. Once we receive your request, you'll get an invitation link to schedule your appointment through the secure BlueNotary platform. Before the session, you'll complete identity verification. The notary then guides you step-by-step through the signing process. Your notarized document is delivered digitally immediately after completion.

Yes, the document itself can be in any language. The notarial statement must remain in English. The signer must be able to read and understand the document they're signing. Yes. A properly completed Florida RON carries the same legal weight as an in-person notarization. RON also includes additional verification layers: biometric or knowledge-based identity authentication, a recorded video session, and tamper-evident document technology.
